Yew, probably Irish, 19th century, lever mechanism , carved with a mans head wearing a hat, (very unusual, more often squirrels, hares,and balls, but not men in hats) Decorative incising in the form of plants and flowers and a big bird of prey.
Very good patination, colour and condition.
