Inscribed on one side with a fully dressed Jar Tar with a Ship in the background and "Nelson Forever" around the top.
To the other side "Cork Arms" under a crown and a ship between two towers. representing the arms of the Cork Harbour where the towns motto is "Safe Paassage to all Ships"
