Unbelievably sensationally patinated this English Fruitwood Spice Pot ,c.1770 is true treen. Tactile, soft surface and deeply variagated patinated surface. The Lid and body have warped out in a charming oval way.
Two historic splits to the sides are the only reason why this beauty is so cheap.
