I am not sure what else it could be , too fat a lip to drink from, flat bottomed inside bowl, heavy foot. Therefore i feel it must be a Spill Vase. Although the outside of the bowl has brown type varnish, the rest of it has an outstanding deep patination. I am puzzled by the wood, possibly Yew possibly a heavy fruit wood. English 1830.
A.J.Levi collection number 424. I cant find it illustrated in The Book.
