Beautifully patinated Cherry Match Striker. English c.1820. If the bone finial isn't original then it is a "Go To Bed" especially as it fits in the hand so well.

Minor thickening of the inner screw thread thus enabling tight screwing up now, for all intents and purposes now invisable.
