Unbelievably Patinated and tactile Welsh Yew Wood Love Spoon, dated 1727 one of the earliest known examples in existence, I believe there is a 17th century dated one in St Fagans Wales. This has a pleasing simple single heart cut out from the top of the handle and elements of chip carving to the stem.

There is a small split on the left hand top side of the heart.
